Panna Cotta Recipe

Hello everybody! Today I am sharing with you my panna cotta recipe. I rarely share desserts, but this one is too good and too easy not to share. I am not really a fan of sweets or desserts, but this one I can enjoy. Watch the video below as I prepare this panna cotta or continue reading for the written recipe.

Ingredients:

4 servings

Panna Cotta:

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup plain whole milk yogurt
  • 2 tsp. gelatin
  • 2 tsp. cold water
  • 3 oz. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt, to taste

Toppings:

  • 1/2 lbs. straberries, cut in four
  • 1/2 oz. sugar
  • 1/4 of a lemon, juiced

Begin by mixing the gelatin with the cold water and set aside.

For the panna cotta, mix the heavy cream, milk, salt and sugar with a whisk and then warm it up over low heat until frothy. Set aside to cool down.

Next, to prepare the toppings, squeeze the lemon and mix the with the strawberries and sugar. Cook in a pot over low heat until the strawberries are softened.

After the strawberries are soft and melted down a bit, remove from heat and use an immersion blender to blend the strawberries down to a liquid. Once all blended, put in the refrigerator or set aside to cool down.

Mix the yogurt, vanilla extract, and gelatin in a bowl until fully incorporated and the gelatin is fully broken down. Next, mix in the milk and heavy cream mixture and mix altogether. Put into the refrigerator for at least four hours.

After four hours, pour the topping mix on top of the panna cotta, add some fresh fruit and serve. Enjoy and cin cin!
