Buongiorno a tutti! I am back and ready to share with you our homemade pierogi recipe! As some of you may know, my wife is Polish and she also loves to cook. She has shared this recipe with me a very long time ago and I wanted to share it with all of you today. I love to try new dishes whenever I can because it makes cooking a fun experience. This dish involves some hard work, but it is well worth it in the end. Plus, you can make a big batch and freeze them for whenever you need dinner at a later time! Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 lb. potatoes, peeled, cooked and mashed
- 2 1/2 onions, diced
- 3 eggs
- 12 oz. farmer cheese
- 4 Tbsp. olive oil, extra virgin
- 2 cups of water
- salt, to taste
- 8 oz. bacon
- sour cream, for dipping
